Bathmate Water Retention – as Bad as it Sounds?

by Pumpy

Vacuum pump swelling problems vs bathmate fluid retention: which is worse?
In the quest for male enhancement, chances are you have tried it all. From jelqing to vacuum pumps, the bathmate, and performance enhancing drugs, there is a host of alternatives that can help you when it comes to your penis. When your aiming for increased length, girth, firmness, and long-lasting erections, complications are the last thing you want. However, you should be prepared. If you use a vacuum pump or a bathmate, you could deal with some unwanted side effects. Think about both and weigh your options before you choose your preferred method for penis enhancement.

The Vacuum Pump: Beware of Swelling
Vacuum pumps are often recommended for men who suffer from erectile dysfunction or simply any guy who is looking for better results when it comes to his penis. The pump is either hand-operated or battery-operated. The penis is placed in a cylinder and the pump is turned on, creating a vacuum. This vacuum actually draws blood to the penis and causes an erection. Each time an erection is produced, it actually begins to increase penis size. A support ring is slipped on to the base of the penis once erection has been achieved and helps a man to sustain that erection. The ring is left in place for up to a half hour. Any longer can result in damage.

While the results sound good, swelling can be a problem. When pump sessions involve too much pressure or are too lengthy in duration, especially lasting over thirty minutes, swelling around the glans of the penis can result. Known at the “doughnut effect,” it is due to a build-up of lymphatic fluid. Severe swelling or distortion along the entire length of the penis is a worst case scenario. While it usually subsides within a few hours, it can be extremely uncomfortable and leave the penis sore afterwards.

The Beauty of the Bathmate: What About Fluid Retention?
The bathmate is another male enhancement device that uses water and can be applied to the penis in the shower, tub, or any place a man chooses. It is slipped over the entire penis and applied for fifteen minutes a day. With repeated use, it increases blood flow and should improve penis girth, length, and hardness, making it easier to sustain erections for longer durations. However, fluid retention can be a problem resulting from overuse. To avoid this problem, begin with ten minute sessions and gradually work up to fifteen minutes. Abnormal excess of water, known as an edema, can make the entire penis feel stretched and sore. As to which is worse, swelling or retention, both are bothersome. The best bet is to go easy and don’t overdo it.
